Almquist Farm was a terrific venue for a wedding. With rolling hills in the background and a rustic barn for the reception, Almquist Farm made you feel that you were at home. Don’t even get us started with the ceremony spot! Just past the friendly goats (yes, you get to pet them!) and the grazing chickens, a gravel path led into Almquist Farm’s valley. In that valley was a ceremony stage with a beautiful birch arch. Right above that arch was the branch of an older tree. This majestic branch almost leads the viewer’s eyes right to where Alquist Farm decided to put the stage – the perfect spot for a couple to say their vows and become one.
Serena and Eric’s wedding day started in the Granary. This space was dedicated entirely to the wedding party. We loved this space because the wedding party was all in one place! The Gents got ready downstairs and played pool while the Ladys upstairs got their hair and make-up done. We were able to go up and down the stairs and easily captured moments from both parties. The Granary had many windows, and as natural light photographers, it made our lives that much easier. Though it was one space, the separate floors concealed Serena and Eric completely as they both eagerly waited for their first look.
Serena and Eric, we are SO happy the rain decided to hold off for most of the wedding day! With the ceremony being outside and getting in your husband and wife photos before the rain really started to fall, we are so happy we could capture all of the important moments. We hope you love them and know that you two looked FANTASTIC. Eric, you looked spectacular in your Navy suit and had an excellent group of groomsmen surrounding you. Serena, you looked drop-dead gorgeous as usual, and your bridesmaids looked just as good! Congrats, you two! We can’t wait to see where married life takes you!
