Engagement sessions allow us to peer into our couple’s lives and see what makes them tick. We get to see the foundation that their love is built on and the glue that holds them together. For Vik and Joanna, that glue is cooking. Vik and Joanna love cooking for each other and others. They love it so much that they decided to have us photograph them preparing a meal as a part of their engagement session since they cherished it so much. And the best part was we were able to sit down and share a delicious meal with them!
As we were taking their photos, a quote was going through our minds. American author and journalist Michael Pollan once said, “For is there any practice less selfish, any labor less alienated, any time less wasted, than preparing something delicious and nourishing for people you love?” For Vik and Joanna, after watching them prepare the meal and graciously letting us partake, it was evident that there wasn’t.
Vik and Joanna, we love spending time with you two! The sunset gave us the most gorgeous light, and it finished off the evening so well after the fantastic food you made. We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location – Ritter Farm Park, and your outfits were spot on for the occasion. We had a great time with you two and CANNOT WAIT for the wedding next year! Our hope is that you love these sneak peeks from your engagement session as much as we do.
