The title of this blog is brought to you by a “graduation titles and sayings” page. Landed on this one… for obvious reasons. It feels like such a long time coming! 3.5 years. A majority of our marriage. Joe has been in college… and now, today, he has finally finished!
Joe made it through Nursing School with a ton of crazy things being thrown at him, including, but not limited to: moving three times (at least – insert squiggly mouthed emoji here), buying and selling a home, and adopting two dogs. Throw 2020 in there and you could say it’s been a really calm few years!
But seriously, I am so proud of Joe. Having been through it myself, nursing school truly is the worst type of school… Fellow nurses, you know what I’m talking about! He managed to get amazing grades, worked so hard all the time, and still made time for me and our puppies.
Now that school is over, Joe’s looking forward to getting a nursing job that will coincide well with mine so we can continue to grow our photography business on evenings and weekends! We are most excited about being able to travel more often.. who knows, maybe we’ll even do something crazy like buy a camper and just travel all the time… Or maybe I’m just hoping we might… I don’t know. We’ve done crazier things.
This session was originally for our friend that Joe basically tag-teamed nursing school with, Rodsy, and her husband, Carlos. We have definitely bonded with them through the years of study sessions and good food! Rodsy decided to surprise Joe with a cap, gown, whiskey and a cigar – all of Joe’s favorite things! Joe couldn’t believe it at first, but then he decided to just go with it. He maybe was even a little excited to have his own mini graduation session. I wasn’t mad… I mean, he is my favorite model. 😉
Joseph, I know it wasn’t easy, but you did it. The end is finally here. Through the studying, late night food runs, the “I can’t, I have to study!” and the countless internet issues, it’s all over. You’re a whole degree smarter (ha-ha!). Now I would say I don’t know what you’re going to do in your free time but let’s be real – we got enough going on to keep you busy! I love you and I’m so proud of you. This next season of our lives is going to bring some amazing things. Thank you so much for letting me take these photos. I love them.
xoxo – Bri
So. Here goes. The end of an era. Joe is officially a Bachelor of Science and soon to be an RN… and the rest, we’ll figure out as we go, like we always do.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.
