This past weekend we officially photographed our first wedding together! Joe has always helped out at weddings. But this one – the first of many – we were truly a photography team. We spent the long weekend in the beautiful Redding, California. Being able to take part in the celebration of not only this amazing wedding, but the celebrations of the whole weekend, made this experience so special for us. This one was the first wedding of the season, and we were reminded why we love weddings – we love serving our couples, celebrating them, and helping to make their day the best!

This wedding took place in Redding, California at a church called The Stirring. We made a short trip up to the gorgeous Whiskeytown Lake for the photos. From the beautiful makeup from Leslie Hernandez to the absolutely stunning florals by The Wild Thistle in combination with California’s scenery – we literally thought we were in a dream.

Raegan and Jacob have an absolute crew – no – an ARMY behind them. We’ve never experienced more prayer, joy, pure love and support from wedding guests. Many of the guests traveled quite a ways to California – many from Minnesota and Iowa. Other guests were from right there in California – close friends that had turned into family. One of our favorite parts was the couple’s first kiss as husband and wife – we’ve never heard so much cheering during a wedding. It spoke volumes, no pun intended. As many tears and prayers filled the room, (along with our own) it was really easy to tell you two really have amazing support for your marriage, and that is something so special.

Raegan and Jacob, we will always remember your proposal – when Raegan was tricked into thinking you guys were modeling for Bri – but really, it was so we could get some great photos of Jake’s proposal. We definitely will always remember your beautiful wedding day. How much joy Raegan had the entire wedding day and how she loved every detail. How Jake looked at Raegan like she is the best thing in this entire world (he’s not wrong). And we definitely won’t forget that you two were so kind to everyone and you had so much fun the entire day! We love you two – and we pray your marriage is filled with exactly that – kindness… and a whole lot of fun!

Now brace yourselves for these. We are kind of obsessed.
